وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا - إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا

"আর তারা আল্লাহর প্রেমে অভাবগ্রস্ত, এতিম ও বন্দীদের খাবার দান করে। (এবং বলে) আমরা তো কেবল আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির জন্যই তোমাদের খাবার দিচ্ছি; আমরা তোমাদের কাছে কোনো প্রতিদান চাই না, কোনো কৃতজ্ঞতাও না।" (— সূরা আল-ইনসান: ৮-৯)
"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, [Saying], 'We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude.'" (— Surah Al-Insan: 8-9)
